Personal Training
At Game Shape, we take personal training very seriously and hold our personal trainers to extremely high standards of practice. All of our trainers are certified through recognized and reputable organizations, and our trainers have years of experience to offer. At Game Shape, we require that all of our personal trainers be certified as a "CPT", a "certified personal trainer", through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) or through other approved certifying agencies (NASM, etc.).
Game Shape Personal Trainers are educated on the most advanced training techniques available, and trainers have many opportunities to receive both in-house skills training through clinical in-services, and continuing education opportunities by attending outside national fitness seminars. Our certified personal trainers understand the principles of anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and exercise. Additionally, our trainers have the unique advantage of working alongside other clinical personnel, such as our physical therapists, massage therapists, certified nutritionists, and orthotists. As a result, our personal trainers understand medical conditions, post-injury conditioning and post-rehab program design on a higher level than trainers in other facilities.
As a personal training client, your program will be designed to meet your specific needs and goals. During the first session, your trainer will put you through a thorough fitness assessment addressing strength, flexibility, body composition and muscle imbalance. This will help us decide on a safe and effective training program, and allow us to carefully monitor and update your routine. Our trainers will constantly monitor your progress and compare baseline measurements over time to newer measurements. Measurable progress is the key to our success.
Whether it's sport-specific training, weight management, senior fitness, cardiovascular endurance, post-rehab, or body building, our trainers will do their best to make you want to exercise, by making your sessions fun, creative, and beneficial.

Sports Performance Programs
(also includes: Metabolic Testing & Body Fat Testing)
"F.A.S.T. Forward" Program
The FAST (Functional Athletic Skill Training) Forward Program is designed for young athletes up through high school (ages 8 - 16). This program focuses on "teaching" young athletes, movement skills through a systematic approach while allowing these young athletes the freedom to try new movements and understand why and how they are used in sport. This program essentially allows the athlete to learn about how their body works and responds to different types of movement and physical stress. We review postural concerns, musculoskeletal imbalances, running technique and deceleration techniques.
Sport-Specific Training Programs
Many of our trainers are athletes themselves and specialize in providing the most... Whether it be soccer, baseball, football, golf, tennis, swimming, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, cheer or dance, Game Shape has the trainer to fit your needs.
Sports Performance Programs are designed specifically with the athlete in mind. Call for more details.
Post Rehabilitation Programs
Patients that complete a course of physical therapy are encouraged to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. Therefore, we strive to make fitness easily available once patients are discharged from PT. This type of program is also known as a "Step Down" program.
Benefits of the Post-Rehabilitative Fitness Program or "Step Down" Program:
- There are times that PT is no longer covered under the patient's health insurance plan and supervised care is still necessary. This program allows accessibility to the physical therapy staff to encourage continued improvement.
- Offers a continuum of care through a structured program, which will be monitored by the qualified and caring staff of Game Shape. Physical therapy staff and fitness staff will discuss limitations and targets to create a challenging fitness program.
- Allows our discharged patients to work out in familiar surroundings with the same equipment they used in our physical therapy setting.
